I’ve been testing out a new mastering processor from Newfangled Audio called Elevate recently and I’ve been seriously impressed with the results I’ve been getting. It first caught my eye after I picked up their Equivocate EQ plugin for free during the launch at eventide.com and the full bundle includes both the Elevate mastering processor and the EQ. While multi band and dynamic limiting isn’t a new concept (Check out Fabfilter Pro-L 2’s dynamic mode or Slate Digital’s FG-X processor) I haven’t seen a limiter plugin with as much control over dynamics as this before. It features a massive 26 bands of limiting and some unusual architecture for achieving incredibly loud masters without destroying your materials dynamics. Check out the mini video review for an overview of all its features.
