Repro
Repro is two synths in one installer: Repro-1 and Repro-5. Repro-1 is a component-level model of a classic early-80s monosynth — the kind built around Curtis chips with a fierce 4-pole lowpass, a clever onboard sequencer, and a signal path that just sounds right. Repro-5 takes the same sonic DNA and makes it polyphonic, modelling a famous 5-voice synthesizer from 1978, adding an 8-voice mode and a polyphonic distortion unit with four modes including a bit crusher. Both use u-he’s component-level modelling approach, capturing the subtle quirks and instabilities of the originals rather than approximating them.
Each synth ships with a set of five rearrangeable stomp-box effects — delay, plate reverb, EQ/resonator, wavefolder or saturation, and a dynamics processor — plus a Tweaks panel that lets you adjust jumper settings and module behaviour at a circuit level. Repro-1 comes with over 500 factory presets; Repro-5 ships with over 950. Both support CLAP, VST3, AUv2, and AAX, and are NKS-ready.
Based on one of my favorite synths of all time... this one is special.
