What we collect and why

We take the privacy of your data very seriously and it is our goal to be open, honest and transparent. We only hold basic information that you provide and give permission to and that is name and email during purchase, which is needed for us to send you product updates, resend product links and occasional news.

Besides name and email, we collect your country’s location in our accounting system, so we can generate an invoice. Under no circumstances will your data be sold or otherwise passed on to third parties.

Our website www.marulamusic.com collects and stores cookies, these can not damage your computer in any way, nor do they contain malware.

How we use your data

We use MailChimp as our mailing list provider and their privacy policy can be found here. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive or by contacting us via email.

We use Woocommerce as our e-commerce provider. Via Woocommerce we use PayPal as payment processors for our shopping cart.

Additional data that customers may provide as part of the checkout process (physical address etc.) is held by our e-commerce provider. We do not use any of this data for any purpose, nor do we have any access to the payment details you provide during checkout.

How we protect your data

We have taken steps to protect your data, we have enabled two-factor authentication to protect the data in our mailing list.

Our payment processors PayPal and 2Checkout meets the highest level of PCI compliance to ensure your payment details are encrypted and safe – this includes following data security standards such as PCI-DSS (the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).

Your data, your rights

At any time you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
