UVI Falcon

Falcon is UVI’s hybrid instrument platform, combining 24 oscillator types with a modular scripting environment. The oscillator set covers virtual analog, wavetable, phase distortion, FM, additive, granular, sample playback, stretch, physical modelling (bowed string, pluck, harmonic resonator), formant synthesis, and several others, meaning most synthesis paradigms are available within a single instance. Over 100 effects processors are included as insert or send effects, covering delays, reverbs, EQ, dynamics, modulation, amp simulation, distortion, and spectral processing.

Falcon’s scripting layer separates it from a conventional ROMpler or synthesizer. Users can write MIDI processors, custom arpeggiators, chord generators, and generative sequencers using the built-in script editor, making it function as much as a programming environment as an instrument. Authorization is via iLok (software or hardware dongle). The current version introduces additional oscillator types, new effects, expanded modulators, and a refreshed factory library.
