ADPTR Metric AB

Metric AB is a dedicated mix referencing tool that sits on your master bus and lets you A/B your mix against up to 16 imported reference tracks with a single button press. The key feature is automatic loudness matching — you can set it to LUFS-match your mix and every reference simultaneously, which removes the perceptual bias that comes from volume differences and gives you an honest read on how your low end, top end, and dynamic range actually compare. It supports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, M4A, and MP3 drag-and-drop, and plays back through your full signal chain so you’re hearing references in the same monitoring context as your mix.

The metering side covers FFT spectrum analysis with multiple graph types, stereo imaging, correlation, and LUFS/dynamics metering to industry-standard specs. You can set cue and loop points within reference tracks, which is useful for isolating a specific section and toggling between it and the equivalent section of your own mix. It’s a straightforward tool with one clear job: giving you calibrated, honest comparison without breaking your session workflow.
