Launchkey 37 MK4

The Launchkey 37 MK4 is Novation’s compact 37-key MIDI controller, updated in the MK4 revision with a new keybed, chord and scale modes baked into the hardware, and tighter Ableton Live integration than its predecessor. The 37-key range keeps the footprint manageable while still covering three octaves, and the semi-weighted keys with aftertouch handle expressive playing better than the entry-level feel you might expect from a controller at this size. Eight rotary encoders and nine fader controls map to mixer and device parameters in Live without requiring custom template setup.

The MK4 adds arpeggiator improvements, a dedicated chord mode that lets you trigger full chords from single keys using onboard scale intelligence, and a new transport section. The 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads work for clip launching in Session View, drum programming, or step sequencing via the built-in step sequencer mode. It connects over USB and is class-compliant, so it works with any DAW despite the close Ableton integration.
