Filterscape

Filterscape is a multi-effect plugin that combines multimode filters, a morphing parametric EQ, delay lines, and a modulation system under one roof. The core signal path runs through up to two multimode filters (capable of lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, and other modes) alongside a 6-band EQ section that supports morphing between up to eight stored snapshots. Delay lines with tempo sync complete the processing chain. It was u-he’s first cross-platform multi-format release, originally published in 2004 and maintained and expanded since.

The modulation architecture is what defines the plugin’s character. Filterscape includes four envelope followers that can track different frequency regions of the input signal independently, feeding those signals into a modulation matrix that targets filter cutoffs, EQ band gains, delay feedback, and other parameters. This makes it suited to rhythmic, envelope-reactive filtering and EQ animation rather than static tonal shaping.
