Keylab 61 Mk3

Keylab 61 Mk3

The KeyLab 61 Mk3 is Arturia’s mid-size MIDI controller, and the 61-key count hits a useful middle ground for production work — enough range to play parts that span multiple octaves without the footprint of an 88-key weighted board. The semi-weighted keybed has aftertouch, which opens up expressive control for synth parts where pressure-to-mod is part of the patch design. Eight encoders, nine motorized faders, and a central LCD display handle parameter mapping, and the dedicated DAW and Analog Lab modes mean you’re not spending setup time building templates from scratch every session.

The Mk3 revision adds a color LCD display, improved build quality, and tighter integration with Arturia’s software ecosystem via Analog Lab, but it maps cleanly to any DAW over USB or MIDI. There are dedicated transport controls, chord and scale modes built into the firmware, and pad inputs for triggering clips or drums. The keybed feels good enough to actually want to play parts in rather than draw them with a mouse.
