MX Keys Mini
The MX Keys Mini is a tenkeyless wireless keyboard built around the same low-profile scissor-switch keys as the full-size MX Keys, trimmed down to fit a tighter desk layout. The keys have a slight spherical dish that guides your fingers into position, and the actuation feel is firm and consistent without being loud — it stays out of the way when you’re recording or working near open monitors. No numpad means more space to the right of the keyboard, which is useful if you’re running a MIDI controller or a control surface alongside it.
It connects to up to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth and switches between them with a dedicated key, so moving between a laptop and desktop or between DAW machine and a secondary display is fast. Backlit keys adjust automatically based on ambient light, and battery life sits around five months with backlighting off. For a studio keyboard it’s a practical choice: compact, quiet, reliable, and not trying to be anything it isn’t.
