WaveLab Pro 13

WaveLab Pro 13 is Steinberg’s professional audio editing and mastering suite. It operates in two main modes: the Audio Editor for single-file restoration, processing, and detailed waveform editing, and the Montage for assembling full album or EP masters with per-clip processing, crossfades, and metadata. Each clip in the Montage can carry its own plugin chain, and a separate master effects section handles the final limiting and loudness processing before export. Version 13 adds a new Adaptive Audio Engine that consolidates loudness normalization, true-peak limiting, and codec simulation into a single rendering pass, along with upgraded metering and an improved waveform display engine.

WaveLab’s audio restoration toolset includes noise reduction, de-click, de-clip, and spectral editing through its integration with iZotope’s RX processing algorithms. The batch processing system allows automated rendering of multiple files or clips with consistent settings, and the plugin chain system supports VST3, AAX, and AU formats. It runs natively on Apple Silicon and is available for Windows and macOS.
