VO-TT is Three Body Technology’s vocal-specific take on the OTT multiband dynamics concept. OTT — the Over The Top preset from Ableton’s Multiband Dynamics — is a staple in EDM production, but it’s tuned for full mixes and becomes unpredictable on vocals. VO-TT rebuilds the idea from scratch with five frequency bands designed around the specific characteristics of the human voice, each running a downward compressor to tame peaks, an upward compressor to lift quieter signals, and an expander to attenuate the floor. The result is that level and tonal balance across the vocal range get addressed simultaneously rather than requiring separate compression and EQ passes.

Twelve preset processing styles cover a wide range of vocal types and applications as starting points. From there, per-band sliders let you dial in the intensity, while an overall Amount control and a wet/dry Mix knob let you push the effect as far as the source needs. It runs at zero latency, so it works equally well in a live monitoring chain as it does in a mixing session.
