Cubase Pro 15 is Steinberg’s flagship digital audio workstation, covering the full production workflow from recording and arrangement through mixing and mastering. It supports unlimited audio and MIDI tracks, a comprehensive automation system, and an integrated channel strip on every channel with EQ, dynamics, saturation, and transient shaping. The bundled plugin library includes over 90 processors and instruments, among them Padshop 3 (a granular and spectral synthesizer), Retrologue 2 (a virtual analog synth), HALion Sonic SE (a sample player with 3,500+ sounds), and a full suite of dynamics, EQ, reverb, and creative effects. Version 15 adds a reworked chord track system with voice leading controls and AI-assisted chord suggestions, plus improvements to the sample editor and stem separation.

The MIDI tools in Cubase are among the most extensive in any DAW: the Key Editor handles polyphonic expression (MPE), the Chord Pads allow real-time harmonic performance, and the Expression Maps system routes articulation data to software instruments in a structured way. Cubase Pro 15 runs on Windows and macOS with full Apple Silicon support.
